- Entire sentences may be replaced by a sequence of letters and numbers. The English sentence "C u l8er" is therefore pronounced "See you later", while the 8 in English is pronounced "eight", resulting in the word "later". In German, this sentence means something like "See you later" or "See you later".
- Sometimes three letters are enough to show that you find something funny, like "lol". These letters mean "laughing out loud", i.e. "laugh out loud", the abbreviation "hdgdl" stands for "I love you very much" - if you want, you can add "fiue" (forever and ever).
