Location Chicago – O’Hare International Airport opened
in 1955is the largest and most important airport in the city and in the entire state of Illinois. It is located approximately 18 miles northwest of the Chicago Loop. It is very easy to get to by car, e.g. via the signposted Interstates I-90, I-294 at Exits 1 AD or via the US Highways 12 and 45. The Van Galder Bus Company operates a regular shuttle service between Rockford Downtown and O’Hare and Midway. It runs to O’Hare Airport every hour between 3:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., the journey time is approximately 90 minutes.
